THRIVE CBD Skin Care Review

THRIVESKIN

MLM skin care companies - more hype than help!

Following in the footsteps of Rodan+Fields, Nerium and other MLM skin care companies, LeVel is now pushing their own overpriced miracle creams in the form of a skin care subscription. At a cost of $150 per month for (3) 1 oz. products, the Thrive CBD skin care line will run you a whopping $1800 per year - more than most people spend annually on products, Botox and facials combined.  Overlooking the fact that other MLMs are fighting class action lawsuits for side effects caused by insufficient product testing and predatory marketing, let's focus alone on the misinformation being used by LeVel to hawk their new CBD line as an anti-aging wonder.

While CBD has been touted as a powerful anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant and anti-microbial ingredient there are no studies that show it to be more effective than any other anti-oxidant (such as vitamin C) to counter act free radicals which contribute to aging. In other words, the ingredients contained in the Thrive skin care line are not substantially  any different or more effective than any other skin care line containing antioxidants and botanicals.

Additionally, the use of CBD in your skin care should be an enhancement not a replacement to retinol, niacinamide and AHA/BHA (ingredients missing from the Thrive skin care line) which are proven to help reverse aging. Incorporating a single CBD serum or moisturizer into your regimen is sufficient, and will be much more effective than ditching your entire current anti-aging regime for a trio of redundant products.

For some, skin care purchases are about throwing a bone to a friend or family member who isn't working and relies on the income from MLM, but for those of us looking for truly effective anti-aging results MLM products are not the biggest bang for your buck. A budget of $1800 annually spread between select products + clinical skin treatments will produce far greater results.

Skin care experts (unlike MLM distributors) are educated and licensed professionals dedicated to helping you find the right products and treatments for YOUR specific skin or aging concerns.  Skin care is not a one size fits all; not all products or treatments are suitable for everyone. Trust your beauty to an esthetician who's expert guidance will include personalized skin care treatments and product suggestions as well as recommendations to other providers when needed to address all of your skin care goals.

Rodan + Fields products are ALL clinically tested.

Gayle, all skin care products are clinically tested, including what you buy at the drugstore. There are a number of blogs with R+F horror stories, including the lawsuit for damages customers have sustained from their eyelash boosting serum. There are many wonderful skin care products on the market today with great ingredients; clients have better options than to purchase products sold through pyramid marketing. K-beauty skin care companies are where you will find the best deals on quality cutting edge products to enhance any skin care regimen, at half the price of any global merchandiser like R+F.

I have used Thrive Sikin and find, for no more results than I get from it, the cost outweighs the results. 3-1oz bottles did not last me 2 months as someone stated. It barely lasts me a month and it is an autoship item that gets a discount.

I found the first bottle you put on, when rubbed off is not dead skin, it is the product itself balling up.

Hi Carolyn! Yes unfortunately the one-size-fits-all approach to MLM skin care products is not effective in treating all skin types or skin conditions. People will actually save money in the long run with a visit to an esthetician (not a sales rep) who can personalize a treatment plan for them.

Rodan and Fields is a joke… They are being sued left and right. I know my skin looks a million times better then the Rodan and Fields girls ive seen and thats just being honest. I get better products from my dermatologist and K beauty then Rodan and Fields ever produced. I use a natural serum on my euelashes and they are so thick and so long and no irritation. Lashes need to be thick and long not just long spider looking things….looking at you R&F..

I disagree with your comments on a thrive Skin. I am a salon owner and a cosmetologist for 30 years. This is the best skin care product I have ever been introduced to. I use this product every day and it lasts closer to 2 months per order. You do not need to order $150 worth every month. Have you actually tried using it? It is very nice products that provide results. The fact that it is sold through an MLM is not a draw back to me. My friend Janel answers all my questions and concerns for me. That’s something you don’t get just buying a random product off the shelf at Target or Nordstrom’s.
